Eight Legged Dreams

Last night I had a series of strange dreams, all intertwined. The first one I remember that all the others referenced took place in some large room with a number of my friends from various places. I noticed in the corner of the room there was a large, active, octopus. I am not sure why I wouldn't have thought this strange, but I didn't. Suddenly after looking at the octopus with wonder for a while it sprang into action flying towards me, moving far faster than I would have thought possible. Realizing I was in danger I started to run the other direction, when I knew it was upon me I quickly turned and tried to shield myself with the nearest thing I could grab, a large comforter, basically a thick piece of fabric. The bite of the octopus went through the fabric and into my arm I was using as a shield. It was obvious that the fabric had taken the brunt of the force of the bite and though my arm hurt, I was lucky. At some point it let go and went away and I began to move, it again came at me and I again ran. That dream ended there.

Each of my next dreams began recalling the previous dream to others (as if I was already awake, recalling the dreams of the night before). I don't remember what happened in those dreams, except one.

The only background I'll give is that there is an acquaintance of mine that recently betrayed my trust and I should be very angry at. In this dream I walked behind the store I worked into some sort of camper trailer. That person (we'll call Sam) was there. It was obvious from his reception of me that Sam either thought I didn't know about his betrayal or that he was hoping we would both ignore the 600 lb gorilla in the room. I walked in and said, "So Sam, what happened?" in a tone as to express my knowledge of everything and desire to understand his justification. I don't remember what he said in response.
