Finally, New Pictures.

I finally got my new digital camera and got a chance to use it. I've posted pictures of rock climbing in the Alabama Hills, and ice climbing in Lee Vining.

Beautiful, scary photos. Does the ice break off frequently?

Not really. Plus, it would be a little nutty to lead anything that thin. You'd definitely avoid that. Since we were on top-rope, the danger was minimized. You could still swing and hurt something, but not badly.

While huge pieces of ice do not frequently break, smaller chunks of ice are constantly breaking and flying in all directions. It is important to belay from a safe place when possible to avoid being hit by flying debris.
